Charge notes
Do MagSafe chargers work with a case?
Yes — with the right case. Here is what to look for so your phone charges at full speed on a magnetic station.
Cases that work
- MagSafe or magnetic cases with a built-in ring.
- Thin cases, up to about 5 mm on the pocket station.
Cases that cause trouble
Wallet cases, card holders, metal plates and thick rugged cases push the phone away from the coil or block the magnets. The phone may charge slowly, stop and start, or show a flashing light on the station. Take the case off, or switch to a MagSafe case.
Non-MagSafe phones
Android phones and older iPhones can still charge wirelessly on a flat Qi pad. RYND's Apple & Android station is built for them; keep the case under 2 mm and centre the phone.
