How to choose a GaN charger

GaN chargers pack more power into a smaller block. Three numbers decide whether one is right for your desk.

RYND fast charge

Total watts

Add up what you charge at once: a phone needs 20–30W, a tablet 30–45W, a laptop 45–100W. A 165W charger covers a laptop plus several small devices from one plug.

Ports

  • USB-C for laptops, tablets and new phones.
  • USB-A for older cables, earbuds and watches.
  • Power is shared, so the first port gets the most when several are in use.

Travel and safety

Look for 100–240V input so it works abroad with a plug adapter, and for over-current and overheat protection. A long AC cord helps reach a desk from a floor socket.
